Online Learning "Work Smarter Not Harder" Teacher Tips:
  • Consider turning off comments on online platforms (ie Google Classroom) or teach students how to comment appropriately.
  • Watch and vet videos all the way through before posting!  Look into SafeShare to eliminate ads and other YouTube video concerns.
  • Consider creating a combined Google Classroom (or other online platform) with other "specials" or electives teachers so students only have one place to go for all of those assignments.
  • Create a Demo Class that you can use to try out assignments, test links, and see things from the students' perspective before sending out to classrooms and students.  Take home an extra Chromebook (or whatever device the students are using) to try things out.
  • Make sure your Google sharing settings are correct before sharing a document, slideshow, form, etc.
Remember to keep things in perspective, keep things simple, and wash those hands!  Be well!
