Other Back to School episodes from Music Teacher Coffee Talk:
Know Better, Do Better
Tanya talks about the Social Justice standards as mentioned in Realizing Diversity by Karen Howard and how she is going to focus on these standards when lesson planning this year. If you are interested in reading this book and listening to our past Music Teacher Coffee Talk book club episodes about this book, check out episodes #135-139 or our interview with Karen Howard in episode #165.
Work Smarter, Not Harder
If you have any new materials or resources that you want to incorporate into your school year (such as notes or materials from a training course you did this summer), Carrie recommends keeping those materials out and visible on your desk or in your planning space to remind you to try some new things out this year.
